Speak something about your self : I’m Sanjana Barua. I’m raising this campaign for my 58 year old father. We have exhausted our funds due to personal family reasons, and need money to keep the fight against cancer going.

My father is a simple government employee and we are a middle class family. Dec 2, 2018 my father was diagnosed with stage 4 B Cell Lymphoma. Due to the initial doctors’ fault, his legs got affected where he couldn’t walk or move at all.  

Since July, 2018, he started complaining of shoulder and backache. We treated it like general joint ache, and the doctors prescribed medicines. His pain wouldn’t suffice, it kept growing to the point where he complained of unbearable ache, and couldn’t sleep or sit up straight. It was hard to see him go through the pain. We rushed him to the doctors again in November 2018 and they recommended urgent tests. The tests suggested he has cancer. My father was out through 5 biopsies at Max Saket. The final one affected his legs; first his right one, then his left too. He went numb in both the legs and couldn’t walk. He couldn’t manage to even move or lift his legs. Max didn’t answer our queries regarding his legs, they didn’t even give us the reports. For one month we kept running after them. We then admitted dad in Venkateshwar on December 2. He has been diagnosed with B Cell Lymphoma that has spread to most of his body. My wedding was on December 7, he couldn’t attend any of the ceremonies. We have exhausted all our funds in the wedding and his tests and initial treatment. My father is a brave and strong man, he is still cheerful and believes he will come back home fit. He has gone through unimaginable pain and still is, but doesn’t show it. Please, please help me raise funds for him, I want to make things easy for him. Detected on Dec 2, 2018. Symptoms: unbearable severe backache (across the entire spinal cord), fever, restlessness in legs. Visible weight loss.

I, the daughter, got married on Dec 7, 2018, very close to when he got admitted to the hospital (Venkateshwar Hospital). Our family used most of the funds to arrange the wedding and other ceremonies, whatever was left has been used in dad’s initial tests and treatment, he has also exceeded his credit limit from office. We have 6 more chemos to go, we have funds for only the next chemo. After that we don’t know what we would do.

It can be solved if this campaign runs successfully. I’ll be so grateful to everyone who donates. I want my father to get back to his normal life. He is going through tremendous pain.
